How to make a QR Code for your business

We are using Google to make a QR Code. The code shown on the left was made using this method.

Google URL Shortner goo.gl

1. Go to http://goo.gl/ in your browser (or click on our blue text)

Make a QR code with Google URL Shortener

Paste in the URL link to the page you want your QR code to go.
Click the Shorten button and Google will make a short URL.
You can copy this short URL and use it to make a QR code with Qurify.com (see panel right). But we do not advise this as you will not be able to see how many people use your code. We advise you continue with Google.

Sign in to Google to make your QR code

2. Sign in to Google to create a Google account (if you do not already have one). Once you have completed your account you will be able to access the screen below:

Make a Qr Code step 3

3. Click on Details and you will see this screen:

Make a QR code step 4

4. When you right click on the code as above you have several options on of them is to open it in a new window. If you want to make the code bigger (maximum size 500 x 500 pixels) alter the size in the top bar of the window and save your code.

Good Luck and happy QR coding!

Fun QR Codes

QR Codes with messages

You can find a lot of sites on the internet that will make a QR code for you which can contain a message rather than a URL link to a website. So when you click on the code you see a message on your phone.

We made the one below by going to
www.qurify.com

QR code with hidden message

The more words you have in a code the more complicated they are. You will see that the code above is relatively simple.

A word of warning

Be careful downloading images from websites you do not know. We went to Norton Safe Web a service developed by Symantec Corporation that is designed to help users identify malicious websites so we could check out www.qurify.com.
Safe Web delivers information about websites based on automated analysis and user feedback. You can access their service by clicking on the link below:
